Sahih International

And We have not sent you except comprehensively to mankind as a bringer of good tidings and a warner. But most of the people do not know.

Yusuf Ali

We have not sent thee but as a universal (Messenger) to men, giving them glad tidings, and warning them (against sin), but most men understand not.

Tafsir al-Jalalayn

And We did not send you except to all (kāffatan is a circumstantial qualifier referring to al-nās, ‘mankind’, and is made to precede [li’l-nās] because of the importance attached to it) of mankind [both] as a bearer of good tidings, to believers, of Paradise, and a warner, to the disbelievers, of chastisement, but most people, such as the disbelievers of Mecca, do not know, this.

Malay

Dan tiadalah Kami mengutusmu (wahai Muhammad) melainkan untuk umat manusia seluruhnya, sebagai Rasul pembawa berita gembira (kepada orang-orang yang beriman), dan pemberi amaran (kepada orang-orang yang ingkar); akan tetapi kebanyakan manusia tidak mengetahui (hakikat itu).

Sahih International

O mankind, worship your Lord, who created you and those before you, that you may become righteous -

Yusuf Ali

O ye people! Adore your Guardian-Lord, who created you and those who came before you, that ye may have the chance to learn righteousness;

Tafsir al-Jalalayn

O people, of Mecca, worship, profess the oneness of, your Lord Who created you, made you when you were nothing, and created those that were before you; so that you may be fearful, of His punishment by worshipping Him (la‘alla, ‘so that’, is essentially an optative, but when spoken by God it denotes an affirmative),

Malay

Wahai sekalian manusia! Beribadatlah kepada Tuhan kamu yang telah menciptakan kamu dan orang-orang yang terdahulu daripada kamu, supaya kamu (menjadi orang-orang yang) bertaqwa.

Sahih International

[He] who made for you the earth a bed [spread out] and the sky a ceiling and sent down from the sky, rain and brought forth thereby fruits as provision for you. So do not attribute to Allah equals while you know [that there is nothing similar to Him].

Yusuf Ali

Who has made the earth your couch, and the heavens your canopy; and sent down rain from the heavens; and brought forth therewith Fruits for your sustenance; then set not up rivals unto Allah when ye know (the truth).

Tafsir al-Jalalayn

He Who assigned to you, created [for you], the earth for a couch, like a carpet that is laid out, neither extremely hard, nor extremely soft so as to make it impossible to stand firm upon it; and heaven for an edifice, like a roof; and sent down from the heaven water, wherewith He brought forth, all types of, fruits for your pro vision; so set not up compeers to God, that is partners in worship, while you know that He is the Creator, that you create not and that only One that creates can be God.

Malay

Dia lah yang menjadikan bumi ini untuk kamu sebagai hamparan, dan langit (serta segala isinya) sebagai bangunan (yang dibina dengan kukuhnya); dan diturunkanNya air hujan dari langit, lalu dikeluarkanNya dengan air itu berjenis-jenis buah- buahan yang menjadi rezeki bagi kamu; maka janganlah kamu mengadakan bagi Allah, sebarang sekutu, padahal kamu semua mengetahui (bahawa Allah ialah Tuhan Yang Maha Esa).

Surah al.Baqarah ( ayat 22)
